The launch of the official DHL eCommerce plugin in the Shoper Store marks a significant step forward in e-commerce automation. A single app now brings together a full portfolio of courier services, intelligent management of thousands of pickup points (OOH), and ready-made solutions for seamless international expansion—all managed directly from the store’s admin panel.

Instead of switching between multiple external systems, merchants using the Shoper platform Shoper a centralized logistics command center. A new, dedicated app provides access to the full range of DHL eCommerce capabilities within a single plugin. Online stores gain immediate access to domestic courier deliveries, pallet shipments, and a dense network of over 24,000 pickup points and modern DHL BOX 24/7 package lockers throughout Poland.

A key feature of the integration is a module designed to enable “painless cross-border expansion.” As soon as the plugin is installed, online stores are ready to ship orders to nearly all international markets via DHL Connect and Connect Plus (support for the United Kingdom and Ireland, which requires customs clearance, will be launched in the next phase). This process is further optimized by built-in shipping templates—a one-time configuration is all it takes for the application to automatically assign parameters to recurring orders.

“Our strategy is to give merchants a choice. Native integration with InPost, the Shoper shipping broker, and now a dedicated DHL plugin—these are three complementary pathways that cover every logistics scenario. We’re particularly excited about the cross-border aspect: DHL is a brand that consumers in Germany and Western Europe know and trust. For our merchants, this truly opens the door to new markets,” notes Michał Rokuszewski, Head of E-commerce Logistics at Shoper.

The integration also brings a new level of quality to the customer shopping experience (UX). The app features an advanced, interactive map of OOH locations. Store owners can easily decide whether they want to offer deliveries exclusively to vending machines, to partner locations, or to the entire network. A unique feature is smart filtering: when a customer selects cash on delivery (COD) in the shopping cart, the map automatically excludes locations that do not support this payment method, eliminating the risk of errors on the buyer’s part.

On the domestic market, we are seeing growing interest in deliveries to OOH networks, which meet customers’ needs for convenience and flexibility. At the same time, Polish e-commerce is increasingly shifting toward international sales, and cross-border trade is becoming a key growth driver for companies looking to scale their businesses. Of particular importance here are the EU markets, especially Germany and Austria, where the majority of cross-border volume is directed.

Thanks to modern logistics solutions, both domestic and international shipments are now simple and convenient—especially with access to an extensive network of 165,000 OOH locations across 28 countries in Europe. That is why simplifying logistics processes is so important. The native integration of our plugin with the Shoper platform Shoper sellers Shoper manage shipping in a fully automated manner, directly from within the store, eliminating the barriers typical of manual operations. “This solution effectively supports international expansion and boosts sales efficiency,” emphasizes Jędrzej Rychlik, Director of Strategy and Products at DHL eCommerce Poland.

The ecosystem is complemented by full control over return logistics. The returns procedure can be configured to align with the store’s policy (whether the customer drops off the package at a drop-off location or schedules a courier for door-to-door pickup). Importantly, for international returns, this process has been systematically standardized to facilitate convenient drop-offs at designated locations. The entire operation is supported by a module for bulk generation of labels (for both shipping and returns) and the creation of shipment confirmation reports.

Key benefits of integration:

  • One plugin, the full DHL portfolio —support for courier services (domestic and international), parcel locker networks, pickup locations, and pallet shipments—all in one place.
  • Massive scale of operations – immediate access to over 24,000 OOH locations in Poland (including 9,000 vending machines) and over 165,000 locations across Europe.
  • Cross-border without barriers – full integration of international services, ready to use immediately after installing the plugin (support for all international destinations, except for the UK and Ireland in the initial phase).
  • Smart Point Map – flexible control over the display of delivery options with built-in, automatic filtering of locations that accept COD (cash on delivery) payments.
  • Automation through templates —instant order fulfillment thanks to the ability to predefine and assign shipping parameters.
  • Optimized returns management – convenient returns setup for store staff and customers (support for international returns exclusively through shipping locations).
