Four days of unique promotional activities at Shoper online stores have set new sales records.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become a permanent fixture on the calendars of online buyers and sellers. During the shopping holiday, which lasts from last Friday to Monday, the biggest increases in sales compared to last year took place on... Saturday and Sunday.

The value of purchases made in online stores using the Shoper platformexceeded PLN 150 million and was more than 10% higher than a year earlier. During the four exceptional days for the e-commerce industry, purchases of nearly 450 PLN were made every second.

The best-selling products were clothing, cosmetics and home furnishings. The same product categories were also the most popular in 2021. The day with the highest growth rate was Sunday. The value of sales then was more than 22% more compared to the previous year.

- Buyers' preferences are changing rapidly. They are buying more thoughtfully, expect longer promotions from sellers and more time to make decisions. They are looking for the best bargains almost everywhere - in stores, price comparison sites or on shopping platforms. The role of the days combining Black Friday and Cyber Monday will grow," explains Pawel Rybak, commercial board member at Shoper.

The survey, Shoper , shows that nearly 72% of online store owners prepared special offers for the entire Black Week. Unique price promotions, product bundles or discounts on subsequent orders encouraged consumers to buy. Retailers also successfully attracted new customers.

This year's increase in sales value during Black Friday and Cyber Monday was a challenge for the Polish and global e-commerce market. The reason was the unfavorable economic conditions and the high base achieved in previous pandemic years.

- Vendors representing small and medium-sized companies once again proved that they best recognize buyers' expectations and are able to quickly adapt to them. The war in Ukraine, high inflation and uncertainty in the economy provided them with an additional incentive to grow, adds Pawel Rybak.

Shoper provides a complete ecosystem for online sales for small and medium-sized companies. Its main element is a modern platform for running one's own online store, around which the company offers a range of additional services that make it as easy as possible to operate and develop sales. These include online payments, advertising and logistics services for the e-commerce industry. The company is also developing tools and integrations to support multi-channel and international sales.
