According to data from Shoper Payments (which is a dedicated payment system for online stores Shoper), online shoppers are looking to balance health, entertainment and interest development in the fall. This is evidenced by the increase in sales by industry among stores on the platform Shoper.

Cards on the table, health in hand

As much as a 4-fold increase in sales (relative to August 2024) was recorded by selected stores offering board and card games. This means that when the days are getting colder and the evenings longer, we are eager to choose entertainment to pass the time at home. Poles are also throwing dietary supplements into their e-baskets in large numbers , and selected stores that have them in their assortment have achieved an increase of 176% compared to August. In autumn we buy them even more than in summer, and the post-holiday season is a time when we primarily take care of immunity and strengthen ourselves before winter.

Poles invest in talent

According to the Center for Public Opinion Research, at the beginning of the 2023/2024 school year, nearly three-quarters of parents said that any of their children are or will be attending extracurricular activities. This much interest in extracurricular activities may also clearly affect demand for certain product groups after the vacations this year. Therefore, high growth can also be boasted by selected stores offering photographic equipment (147% increase in sales) and stores selling musical instruments and related accessories (160% increase in sales).

We see a clear interest in products that promote spending time at home, which is reflected in the increase in sales of board and card games.
