The data comes from more than 10,000 e-shops using the Shoper platform, from October 2016 to March 2017, and clearly shows that online shoppers are most willing to pay today via online payment, although... still a large proportion of e-shops do not allow such a way of paying for goods.

The popularity of payment methods varies widely across industries. The leader in online payments is book and multimedia e-shops. This is how their customers paid for 57 percent of orders. In most stores, online transfers are the leading payment method, the only exception being e-businesses with assortments such as computers, delicatessens and hobbies, where ordinary transfers are the most popular. On the complete opposite side is the automotive industry, where most payments for orders are made offline. For auto parts, customers most often pay by cash on delivery (32 percent) or at the point of pickup (20 percent).
