Shoper has just released a new report to help e-commerce owners best prepare for the most sales-intensive period of the year.

"Sales Season. What are retailers preparing Shoper for Black Week and the holidays?" is a broad look at current trends, planned strategies and customer shopping preferences that could be crucial in the final months of the year. The report is based on the results of anonymous surveys collected among Shoper store owners and analysis of the platform's internal data.

Statistics show that the fourth quarter of the year accounts for 31% of the annual sales made on the Shoper platform- that's as much as ⅓ of the annual turnover concentrated in just ¼ of the year! Analysis of sales data from this period clearly indicates that online stores in Poland should invest in a variety of promotion and sales channels to take full advantage of this opportunity.

Key trends: Omnichannel, payments and Digital Ads

Based on last year's data, it is clear that Omnichannel is becoming the standard. As many as 54% of sellers, in addition to their online store, also use Allegro, and more than 25% are active on Facebook and Instagram. Thanks to multi-channel sales, store owners can reach a wider audience, and customers have more options to buy in a channel that is convenient for them.

Similarly, the choice of payment methods is important. The data shows that Blik is the preferred method for 59% of shoppers, demonstrating the importance of offering flexible payment options. Deferred payments ("Buy Now, Pay Later") are also growing in popularity, with as many as 33% of transactions of this type taking place just in the fourth quarter.
