Shoper, Poland's most popular SaaS online store provider, achieved record financial results in 2023. Revenue, EBITDA and platform turnover were once again the highest ever. 

Shoper's revenues in 2023 amounted to PLN 152.6 million. This means an increase of as much as 24% relative to 2022, and compared to 2021, almost doubling the company's revenue. Faster than revenue, by as much as 31%, was the increase in adjusted EBITDA. It reached PLN 50.6 million, which means a profitability of more than 33%.

- Shoper Group's record financial results confirm our ability to adapt rapidly to changing macroeconomic conditions and to take advantage of the opportunities the market presents at any given time. Last year, once again, we increased to a record level investments in the development of our offer. All this so that merchants using the Shoper platform can take advantage of competitive advantages based on our company's services and our team's know-how ," says Piotr Biczysko, member of the board of directors for finance (CFO) at Shoper.

2023 was also a successful year for the Company's customers. Vendors operating online stores on the Shoper platform, achieved record high results, far outpacing the market growth rate. The value of transactions including sales from online stores, shopping platforms and price comparison sites (GMV Omnichannel) amounted to PLN 9.5 billion, an increase of as much as 16%, compared to the previous year . Sales from online stores alone (GMV Stores) grew just as fast , reaching PLN 8.5 billion, up 15% from 2022. 

Last quarter propelled Shopper's growth

Q4 2023 drove the e-commerce market and Shopera's financial performance. The company achieved double-digit revenue increases in both segments, i.e. Solutions and Subscriptions. Total revenue in Q4 amounted to PLN 43.6 million, which is 19% more than in the same period in 2022. Shoper also strengthened its profitability during the period. The company's adjusted net profit was PLN 10.2 million, up 31% year-on-year .

Strengthening partnerships and developing foreign offerings

Shoper in 2023 successively invested in the development of its offerings in 4 main segments such as: Omnichannel, Digital Ads, logistics, and financial services and payments. 

One of the significant developments for the company was the extension of the cooperation agreement with home.pl, under which some 3,000 online stores were transferred from the "private label" model to the Shoper platform.

- The extension of cooperation with home.pl is a a promising project that enables the parties involved to better tailor their offer to the needs of their customers and achieve numerous synergies. First of all, customers will benefit, who, thanks to access to new services supporting online sales, will be able to strengthen their position on the market," comments Paweł Rybak, member of the commercial management board (CCO) at Shoper.

2023 for Shopera also meant going abroad with its offerings. The company established a partnership with the Gomag platform - the most popular online store provider in Romania. As part of the partnership, Shoper began providing digital advertising services to the platform's customers.

Shoper is a leader in e-commerce solutions in Poland. The company provides the necessary infrastructure for e-commerce. In addition to software for running an online store, it also offers a range of services to support sales. These include online payments, Digital Ads, logistics services and business financing.
