Shoper Will invest more than PLN 6 million in new data centers

Shoper and Atman are investing in data centers for the e-commerce market. Buyers and sellers will gain greater speed and security in online transactions.

The market leader in SaaS online stores will launch two new data processing centers in partnership with Atman. The investment aims to further increase the computing power of the Shoper platform and use the latest network security solutions. Shoper It will also expand the fiber-optic network connecting the data centers and implement a new cyber security platform. In 2022, the number of data centers used by Shoper will increase to four. The company is also using public cloud infrastructure provided by global technology companies.

"We are consistently investing in the expansion of ICT infrastructure so that buyers and sellers in Polish e-commerce always have secure and fast access to data and the highest comfort in conducting transactions. The Shoper platform offers the most popular solution on the Polish market for running an online store in the SaaS model. It also enables the use of additional services such as online payments, online advertising and logistics.

As of the end of 2021, Shoper served 33,000 customers, including nearly 26,000 directly and more than 7,000 in the private label model, providing its services to business partners. In November 2021 alone, one thousand new stores opened on the Shoper platform, a record high in a single month. Sales at stores using the Shoper platform were also record-breaking, with GMV for own stores reaching 5.8 billion in 2021, and for multichannel sales (omnichannel, i.e. in own stores and connected shopping platforms) reaching 6.4 billion. This represents an increase of 44% and 46%, respectively, compared to 2020.
