This year's Shoper "Multi Challenges" report, based on a survey of several hundred online store owners, shows that 53 percent of them notice the effectiveness of Google Ads-based advertising campaigns. More and more are launching them using the Shoper Campaigns service. One in seven e-store owners declared their intention to use it in 2019.

- Research by UK-based VARN has shown, as many as 60 percent of Internet users do not distinguish between Google's paid search results and organic results. Analyses by the US company WordStream prove that for searches indicating purchase intent (e.g., searching for a specific product), 65 percent even prefer advertising results. Advertising, which is not a fancy promotional creation just a simple but precisely targeted link, turns out to be one of the most effective ways of acquiring new customers, notes Jacek Zientkiewicz, Brand Manager of Shoper.

Three years of operation Shoper Campaign

Shoper The campaigns were launched in January 2016. The emergence of this service resulted from the company's direction in recent years, which does not want to limit itself to providing e-commerce software. Placing more emphasis on supporting online stores, it provides them with a number of additional tools integrated into the basic package. As a result, sellers can count on the assistance of Shoper in setting the parameters of the planned campaign to make it as effective as possible.

After three years of launching the service, Shoper is running campaigns for several hundred customers per month. Since the beginning of 2019, stores have already generated more than 80,000 orders through campaigns alone.

- Interestingly, Google Ads-based campaigns do not work equally on sales in all stores, and their effectiveness is quite correlated with the sector in which the seller operates. The best sales support is provided by campaigns in stores in the "Electronics consumer electronics," "Home decoration and furnishings," "Appliances, tools, machinery," "Automotive" and "Toys" sectors. For these five categories, the average purchase value of a customer who came to the store thanks to the campaign exceeds PLN 300," comments Dagmara Rogowska, Team Leader of the Shoper Campaigns team.

In the first quarter of 2019, stores running on Shoper software spent more than three times as much on advertising campaigns as a year earlier.
